Onboarding

Getting Access

BioHPC access is for Department of Biology employees and is organized through Project Spaces owned by approved Department of Biology Principal Investigators. Users first request a BioHPC User Account and then, after the account has been created, request membership of one or more Project Spaces connected to their research activities.

Access workflow

1

PI registration

The Principal Investigator registers with BioHPC and provides information required for onboarding.

2

BioHPC onboarding review

BioHPC reviews the registration request and confirms that the request is for Department of Biology employees within the current service scope.

3

Project Space request

The approved Department of Biology PI requests one or more Project Spaces for specific research activities.

4

Step 1: User account request

Department of Biology employees request a BioHPC User Account. User account creation alone does not provide access to project storage or analyses.

5

Step 2: Project membership request

After the BioHPC account has been created, registered users apply for membership of one or more Project Spaces.

6

PI / delegate approval

The Project Space owner, either the PI or an authorized delegate, reviews and approves membership requests.

7

Fully operational

Users become fully operational after their BioHPC account has been created and they have been approved for at least one Project Space.
